| Bio: | I have started this blog to talk about the love story I want to write called "Backstage Pass" and it's also going to be a part of Blogfest2005. This story was actually the entry I submitted for the "Blogfest 2005" contest. The contest called for you to tell what you wanted to write and what it would mean to you to see it written. Of course, I didn't win and really didn't expect to. But I thought I'd participate in the blog anyway in hopes of getting some feedback from people on this idea I've had literally in my blood for over 20 years now. I figure it would be an exercise in developing thick skin which is something I lack like nobody's business and need desperately if I am going to plunge into the world of becoming a published author. Even though I've accomplished a lot with living with my physical disability, there are two things people are going to find very hard to believe about me. First, I am easily intimidated and second, I can't take constructive criticism. To me, all criticism is DESTRUCTIVE criticism. I also don't have as much passion and drive in my life to accomplish things like I used to. It would be easy to contribute that to old age and perhaps there is some truth in that. But it goes deeper than that for me. I had a dream of mine literally murdered in front of my eyes and eight years later, I'm still reeling from it. Notice I said that a dream of mine was murdered. Dreams aren't people so there can't be any prosecution for the murderers of my dream. But I know who they are and THEY know who they are and God will deal with them one of these days. I hope to have a front row seat to watch as God deals out the punishment to these bastards for killing my dream. There are also some "accessories after the fact" that I hope also get the same punishment as these bastards for what they did to me too. But enough about that and on to "Backstage Pass". I hope that you'll enjoy what I have to say and will share your feedback with me. All I ask is the following: be honest in your feedback but be tactful. Also, it wouldn't hurt to tell me what's right with my ideas before you tell me what's wrong. Have we got a deal? Good! Now, let's get on with it! |
